The sky is dark. It is a time of mystery, change and struggle. It is a time of opportunity.

In this asymmetric, two-player piece of interactive fiction, you and your partner each take on the role of a leader of a great nation on the last night of a war. A war one side did not even know it was fighting. Will you play as the general of the King’s army, riding north to retake the lands that rebelled against the royal line hundreds of years ago? Or will you play the Dictator of the Republic, who finds herself abandoned in a city wholly unprepared for war, now apparently only able to decide what her last few hours will look like in the city that she loves?

Both have little doubt that the city of Alexisgrad will fall tonight. The question that both must ask is how it will fall.

Both you and your gaming partner will need a copy of ‘The Last Night of Alexisgrad’ in order to play.

Single Player now supported.

10/10 -- do not read if you haven't played yet!

Really, really fascinating!!! Utterly fantastic conceptually. The idea of a multiplayer interactive fiction is wonderful and I want nothing more than for more games to look at this one for inspiration.

The asymmetry was really great (I was the leader of the besieged republic), but I only wish the tension grew for a longer time. I went to the cathedral, and apparently someone ratted me out no matter what. I only wish I could have sat longer in the tension of "Oh shit, they're coming for us".  Futility was captured perfectly from my perspective, but I think the experience of being on the winning side would be improved if it was slightly harder.

I haven't played too many interactive fictions before this, but I definitely feel this captures where interactive fiction could go, if it was willing to explore the boundaries. Maximum respect to the creator, this is something I will think about for a while.

This is incredible!! I've been playing all afternoon with a friend, and it's been a blast. Its really well written, has some interesting characters and a really engaging story. Your choices ACTUALLY matter, something really important in these types of games that not everyone who makes them follow...

10/10!

I did see a little bug, though, at the ''stare into the barrel'' option, after the dicator makes a human shield. If you're playing as the general of the King's army, you can't read any further, although it does continue, as it asks for a code...

Other than that, I would (and will) definitely recommend this! Thanks for making it, it's amazing.
